Bayern Munich have signed Dutch defender Edson Braafheid from FC Twente.
Braafheid, 26, has put pen-to-paper with the Bundesliga side after passing a medical on Thursday morning.
Rejecting offers from Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven and Ajax, the talented defender will stay with the German side until June 2013.
Braafheid is Bayern's seventh signing of the summer as coach Louis van Gaal continues to bolster his current squad.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Braafheid was a player sought after by new coach Louis van Gaal and can play as a left-back as well as a centre-back.
"On Thursday morning he underwent a medical in Munich and afterwards signed a four-year contract until 30th June 2013."
