Edson Braafheid has opted to remain in Holland after signing a contract with Twente.
The Dutch international defender agreed a Bosman move from Utrecht to Twente recently, but reports suggested he had had his head turned by interest from England.
It had been reported that Manchester City and Newcastle were keen on landing the Dutchman.
The reports were met with a firm riposte from Braafheid's father and Twente have moved to nip the speculation in the bud by bringing forward his transfer.
Twente reached agreement with Utrecht in order to complete his transfer during the January transfer window.
