Utrecht have reopened negotiations with Edson Braafheid.
The defender seemed certain to be on his way from Utrecht after the club cancelled talks citing the player's 'excessive' demands as the reason behind their move.
The club have opted to assess their options during the winter break and have invited Braafheid to return to the negotiating table.
"I hope that we can still do business with Braafheid," Utrecht chairman Jan Willem van Dop told Algemeen Dagblad.
"It is a good offer and I hope we can do something with that."
Rumours are stating that Braafheid could still leave the club in January, as Anderlecht are thought to be considering a bid.
