Slovakia international looks for new pastures to graze

West Brom's Marek Cech has revealed he will leave the club if the right offer comes in for him. The 28-year-old was displaced in the starting line up by Nicky Shorey, who was favoured by Roy Hodgson when he took over from Robert Di Matteo. During the summer, the club exercised an option to extend his contract by a further 12 months, rather than seeing him walk away for free. Cech was given a rare outing in midweek in the Baggies' Carling Cup win at Bournemouth but is desperate for regular first-team football.

Bench

"No player is happy to sit on the bench," he said. "I've one year left of my contract at West Brom and, if I get the right opportunity to change clubs during that time, I will. "But if not, I will be professional and fight hard for a place in the team."
Struggling
Despite struggling to make an imprint on the Baggies squad in recent times, the Slovakia international has sought to extract the positives from his spell in England. He added: "Every league I've played in has given me a lot as a professional - at Port, Inter Bratislava and Sparta Prague. "West Brom is another good experience in my life and career."
