Holdsworth smiling after win

Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth was ecstatic after watching his side secure their third win on the trot with a 1-0 victory at Macclesfield.

Carl Tremarco was red-carded after the Macc full-back scythed down Guy Madjo in the 58th minute of Saturday's League Two clash at Moss Rose and seven minutes later, Aaron Morris stroked home the decisive goal to condemn the hosts to a seventh successive defeat. Holdsworth said: "I am absolutely delighted for the lads. They have listened to what I have told them and done the basics well today. "We lost three players before the game but the others have battled and done well. It shows there is a real team spirit there. "Ross Worner made some outstanding saves in the first half, and we had to fight hard to maintain a clean sheet, but in the end I was disappointed not to get a second or a third. "Three wins on the bounce is important for these lads. It instils the self-belief that we have been talking to them about. They are good players and have got the ability to do well at this level."
