Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth was delighted after his previously misfiring players produced a 5-2 victory at Dagenham.

A goal in each half from Jermaine McGlashan, with strikes from Peter Vincenti, Michael Rankine and Luke Guttridge, saw Aldershot put an emphatic end to a run of four straight league defeats. Jon Nurse and Damien McCrory scored the consolation goals. Shots boss Holdsworth said: "It's a mad game. I thought they were fantastic for a big percentage of the game. "I'm disappointed with the two goals, but overall I thought they were fantastic. Their desire, they were fighting for each other. We worked really hard this week, they didn't have a day off, they didn't want it. "They're a good bunch, a hard-working lot. I'm really delighted with what they've listened to and learned. I thought the pace in the front four was fantastic. "I'm delighted. If you've got willing runners it's very difficult to deal with and I thought we came out the blocks superbly."
