Holdsworth gets hairdryer out

Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth claimed an old-fashioned dose of the hairdryer treatment drove his side to a win on Saturday.

The Shots were struggling and locked at 0-0 at half-time before former Wimbledon striker Holdsworth decided to issue some fierce words at the break. And the verbal sparks seemed to work as Aldershot pulled out an improved second-half display to claim their first home win of the season. "I lost my rag with them at half-time because I felt it was going to cost us and I wanted us to do everything better," Holdsworth said. "We were below par and I won't drop my standards for anyone and they responded well. "For the first 10 minutes of the second half we showed some steel, but credit to Cheltenham because they looked a decent side."
