Aldershot defender Doug Bergqvist is targeting a place in the first team after signing his first professional contract.
The 18-year-old was on the bench at Bradford on Monday and has now been given a two-year deal by boss Dean Holdsworth.
He said: "I've worked so hard for this and I'm just pleased that I've got the two-year contract at the end of it and hopefully now I can start my career and push on even more.
"I've had a really good season with the youth set up this year, we're doing well in the league, the cup run was exceptional and it was a great experience for all of us to play at West Ham.
"The loan move at Dorchester has been very good - playing men's football, it's a great standard out there and hopefully it will make me better.
"Dean Holdsworth has been great and he looks really interested in the youth. He's seen me play a few times and he's shown a good interest and done a lot for me."
