Delighted Exeter manager Paul Tisdale hailed the spirit of his players following their 2-1 win over Dagenham at Victoria Road.

The Grecians scored four minutes into injury time to earn a deserved three points but only after the Daggers dominated the first half. Jamie Cureton gave the hosts the lead in the tenth minute, when he turned his marker brilliantly with one touch before slotting into the roof of the net. Exeter started the second half determined but failed to create too much before they earned a penalty in the 79th minute when Alex Nicholls was fouled by Matt Partridge inside the box. Substitute Jimmy Keohane stepped up and sent Cousins the wrong way before Arron Davies headed into the top corner in the fourth minute added on to give the visitors all three points. Tisdale said: "Matt Oakley came across at one point midway through the second half and said: 'I think we are going to win this.' When you get that feeling across the pitch, as a manager you know you have just got to go with it. "I have to congratulate Jimmy Keohane for holding his nerve because he was under a lot of pressure. The kick was taken quite a long while after the kick was given and Jimmy had to held his nerve so well done Jimmy. "We have won 2-1, that is four games in a row. It is a win and we are playing our football and different players are scoring. "We are doing it in a slightly different way every game and adapting to the games so the players are doing great." Daggers boss Wayne Burnett was disappointed his side could only deliver a 45-minute performance and not the complete display he wished for. He was encouraged by their first half but paid tribute to Exeter for turning the game around with a stunning second-half showing. Burnett said: "Unfortunately it is over 90 minutes the game and we have played very well in the first half and have caused them a lot of problems. "But they have come out for the second half a different team, they have changed their shape and full credit to Exeter. "I think they have been very, very good in the second half and at times we couldn't get near them. "We just sat deeper, and deeper and deeper and when you do that you are asking for a little bit of trouble and especially when you are only 1-0 up because the other team have still got a lifeline. "I think a draw is a fair result but it wasn't meant to be and they have managed to nick it at the end."
