Grecians star to leave hospital

Exeter City have announced defender Danny Coles will leave hospital on Friday afternoon and travel home to Bristol.

The announcement has been described as "really good news" by club physio Neil Light. The 30-year-old was ruled out for the rest of the campaign when a training ground collision with Artur Krysiak earlier this week left him with a fractured spine. A final scan revealed he has fractured two vertebrae. Coles is due to travel home fitted with a back brace which he will wear for eight weeks. The former Bristol City centre-half will be monitored weekly at his home.
