Dawson targets bright future

Aaron Dawson hopes his Exeter debut at Huddersfield on Saturday will be the start of a prolific career at St James' Park.

The 19-year-old midfielder filled in at right-back at the Galpharm Stadium to rave reviews from Grecians manager Paul Tisdale. And the experience has only whetted the youngster's appetite. Having seen several young players establish themselves at the Devon club before securing big moves elsewhere during his time in Exeter's centre of excellence, Dawson thinks he is in the right place to develop. He told the Western Morning News: "Hopefully now I can push on and make a few more appearances and then push on again next season. If I get another chance, I just have to make sure I grab it, really. "But this is a good club that gives youngsters a chance, when you look at the likes of Sercs (Liam Sercombe) in the first team, Els (Elliot Frear) and Scot Bennett. "There are a lot who have come through over the years like (Dean) Moxey and (Danny) Seaborne, so it looks promising."
