Tisdale: Oakley loving challenge

Manager Paul Tisdale believes Matt Oakley is enjoying his time at Exeter, after the midfielder extended his loan by a month.

Oakley joined the Grecians from Leicester at the end of September, and has featured six times for the Devon outfit. The 34-year-old's presence has coincided with an improvement in results for Exeter, who have taken seven points from their last three League One outings, and Tisdale said he can tell his former Southampton team-mate is thriving. "I get the feeling Matt is enjoying it with us," he told the Express & Echo. "It is a new challenge for him. "At his stage of career he's not going to move to a place as far away from his home as here on an emergency loan unless he really wants to and believes that he is going to enjoy it. "He would be well within his rights to stay at Leicester City and be part of their squad, but he wants to play and play for us."
