Doherty gets ban reduced

Bradford midfielder Tommy Doherty has had his ban for his red card against Wycombe on Saturday reduced to one game.

The 31-year-old was facing a three-match suspension after a push on Wanderers captain Gareth Ainsworth, but the Bantams appeal, which centred on the small amount of force used by Doherty and the fact he was provoked, has been accepted by the FA. Doherty will now only miss the home game against Macclesfield on Saturday.
