Former Forest man joins London Road club

Arron Davies has signed with Peterborough on a two-year deal after enjoying a successful trial. The former Nottingham Forest forward, who has been training with the rest of the squad in Portugal, had been attracting interest from other clubs. Posh manager Gary Johnson is delighted to welcome the 26-year-old, who spent a second stint at Yeovil Town on loan from Brighton last year, to London Road. "I think it is a great acquisition to our squad, I have worked with Arron before at Yeovil and we get on very well," Johnson told the club's official website. "He is a striker who can run with the ball and he is something different in midfield if I play three in there. He gives us more options and that is what you are always looking for. "He has got quality and that is why he went for a lot of money to Nottingham Forest. If I can get him back to his best, we have an absolute bargain and I am sure we will see the best of him."
