Hibernian forward Abdessalam Benjelloun is unsure if he will be offered a new deal at Easter Road.

The Moroccan's current deal expires in the summer and as yet he has not been offered an extension.

The 25-year-old insists he is happy at Hibs and wants to stay at the Edinburgh outfit.

"I don't know what is happening regarding my contract,"Benjelloun told the Daily Record. "If Hibs want me to stay, will I be happy to stay? Yes. I've never wanted to leave Hibs. I am very happy at the club.

"Hibs are in my heart for life. I have never played for a team before and become a fan of that team, apart from now at Hibs. Even if I leave this club I will come back and support the team.

"I have had a great four years here and was part of the CIS Cup win in 2007. I have played under four managers and have had a great relationship with the players and everyone from the chairman to the last man.

"I hope we can do something between now and the end of the season but you can't get everything you want in life."
