Sebastian Larsson: Sweden winger reluctant to give his opinion on John Terry

Sweden coach Erik Hamren has refused to give his take on the John Terry racism row but says that no-one should be condemned as guilty until proven.

Terry is alleged to have racially abused Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand while playing for Chelsea during a Premier League game.

Both the Football Association and the British police have launched an investigation into the incident but the centre-back has been included in the England squad for the friendly international against Sweden in London on Tuesday.

It will be Terry's first appearance for the Three Lions since the launch of a formal investigation by the police, but Hamren is not keen to take any side on this controversial topic.

"In my opinion, you're always not guilty until you're proved guilty," he said.

Sweden winger Sebastian Larsson was as cagey as his coach when it came to predicting what kind of reaction the Chelsea man might get when he leads the England team out on the pitch at Wembley.

"I've got no idea," he said.

Pressure

But the 26-year-old Sunderland player was more forthcoming while analysing the England national team.

"If you look at the players that they've got, they should be up there amongst the favourites for each tournament they've been in," explained Larsson.

"But, at the same time, the pressure might become a little bit too much.

"Maybe they shouldn't be the top favourites for each and every tournament, the way they're maybe pictured to be in England sometimes."
