Manchester City goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson has emerged as a transfer target for PSV Eindhoven.

City goalkeeper a target for Dutch giants

Andreas Isaksson has emerged as a transfer target for PSV Eindhoven as they seek a replacement for Tottenham-bound Heurelho Gomes. The Manchester City goalkeeper endured a frustrating past campaign at Eastlands as he was forced to play second fiddle to emerging star Joe Hart. Isaksson, who was Sweden's first choice at Euro 2008, has made no secret of his desire to quit City in the pursuit of first team football. Gomes' pending move to White Hart Lane sees the Dutch champions in the market for a new goalkeeper and it is Isaksson who has shot to the top of their wish-list. "It's not strange that we have already started some work for the possible transfer of Isaksson, considering his situation," PSV coach Huub Stevens told De Telegraaf.
