Sven not looking for new keeper

Sven Goran Eriksson has insisted he is happy with the goalkeeping options he has at his disposal.

Eriksson happy with Isaksson, Hart and Schmeichel

Sven Goran Eriksson has insisted he is happy with the goalkeeping options he has at his disposal. Three keepers have lined up between the posts for Manchester City this season, but Kasper Schmeichel has joined Cardiff on loan and there has been speculation linking Joe Hart and Andreas Isaksson with moves away from Eastlands. Reports have suggested that Eriksson is looking to bring in somebody else over the winter, with Jens Lehmann, Jussi Jaaskelainen and Thomas Sorensen all believed to be under consideration. But Eriksson told the club's official website: "I'm quite happy with the goalkeepers we have here. Absolutely. "We are not looking for another goalkeeper at this moment. If something should happen that we lose a goalkeeper for one reason or another in January, then yes we have to be prepared to. "But if we stay as we are with the goalkeepers here then we are not looking for any others."

Injury worries

Eriksson has a number of injury concerns ahead of this weekend's clash with Wigan, but he is optimistic that Elano, Vedran Corluka and Rolando Bianchi will all be fit. The Swede accepts that if anybody else drops out in the next few days he may have to bring some untried youngsters into the squad. "Hopefully Elano will be okay for Saturday, Corluka will be okay, (Emile) Mpenza I don't know yet but (Darius) Vassell for sure is a no. "Bianchi is okay and trained for the first time and did very well. (Michael) Johnson and (Nedum) Onuoha will almost certainly not be available for Saturday. "We had 16 available players last Saturday and I think it will be more or less the same this weekend. "That is okay but if we go below that, then it will become a little bit dangerous. "Then you have to take some of the young lads into the squad."
