Andreas Isaksson admitted it was 'nice' to make his first appearance of the season for Manchester City.
The Swedish goalkeeper has been beset by injuries this term and has been forced to wait for a chance in the City side.
He was given his opportunity against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday night and kept a clean sheet as City booked a spot in the Carling Cup quarter-finals.
Isaksson concedes he was rarely tested at The Reebok Stadium, but was happy to be back in action for his club.
"It's nice to play again," Isaksson told Sportbladet.
"It felt a bit unusual, but I still feel it went all right. It was quite an easy match.
"They didn't create many chances, but neither did we. Therefore, it was nice that we won at the end."
