Zhirkov: Back for Russia

Yuri Zhirkov has come back in to the Russia squad for the forthcoming Euro 2012 qualifier with Armenia and friendly against Qatar.

The return of the versatile Chelsea player is one of two changes made by manager Dick Advocaat for the matches later this month.

While Zhikov takes the place of Pavel Mamayev, Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Alexei Ionov has replaced injured club-mate Vladimir Bystrov.

Andrey Arshavin of Arsenal, Everton's Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko are all in the squad.

Russia currently lead Euro 2012 qualifying Group B with nine points from four games, two clear of Republic of Ireland.
