Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill was delighted with his players after their record-breaking start to the European qualifying campaign.
The 2-0 victory over top-seeded Greece in Group F means they have won their first three matches in a World Cup or European Championship series for the first time.
The win puts them on course for their first major finals for 30 years and O'Neill was quick to mark the contribution of lone striker Kyle Lafferty.
He told Sky Sports: "I'm delighted. The workrate of the team and belief - I thought tonight every player was magnificent.
"Lafferty has been fantastic in the three qualifiers. His physical size, technique and pace - when he puts that together and he's playing against international defenders, they can't handle him."
Lafferty believes Northern Ireland will never have a better chance of eneding their qualifying drought.
The Norwich City striker, who was netting his third goal in as many games for his country, said: "I'm lost for words. The lads worked hard all week. We got a good result against the Faroes.
"We knew it would be a tough game. We believe in ourselves. Every single player believes we can qualify for the Euros and this is a massive statement that we have sent out. We're top of the group and we'll sit there at the end of the year."
On his fine personal form, he added: "To score three goals in three qualifying games, I'm delighted.
"But it's not all about myself - it's about the team. We got the three points we came here for and we're sitting top of the league on nine points."
Captain Steven Davis hailed Lafferty's contribution, adding: "We kept them at bay really well. Big Kyle up front was the standout player - he took the second goal really well.
"The early goal settled the nerves. It's been an unbelievable start to the campaign. It's hard to put your finger on it. In the last campaign there were errors in games - at critical times we were getting punished."
