Werder Bremen have won the race to sign Theodor Gebre Selassie after agreeing a four-year contract with the Czech Republic international.

Werder Bremen have won the race to sign Theodor Gebre Selassie after agreeing a four-year contract with the Czech Republic international.
The right-back has been one of the Czechs' most impressive performers at Euro 2012 and was even linked with a move to Premier League side Arsenal.
He was attracting interest from several clubs, but Werder have snapped up the 25-year-old from Slovan Liberec for a reported fee in the region of €2million (£1.6m).
Gebre Selassie told Werder's
official website: "The decision to join Werder Bremen was the right thing to do.
"This is a club with a lot of stability and tradition, who always set their goals high. I would like to emulate here my successful season at Liberec."
Talented
Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf added: "We are pleased that we were able to convince Selassie to join us despite having several other offers.
"He is a very talented right-back who confirmed our good impression of him with some good performances at the European Championship."
Gebre Selassie's agent Viktor Kolar confirmed the defender's performances in the European Championship had only intensified interest, but is confident the Bundesliga is the right step for his career.
Kolar told
CTK: "A number of clubs showed specific interest already before the Euros and, naturally, more clubs became interested as the tournament went on.
"We were in contact with Werder before the tournament and in my opinion this is the ideal option for Theo and his future. It is a reward for the hard work he has done in recent years."
