Dinamo Zagreb wonder kid Alen Halilovic says he is delighted to have been handed a call-up to the senior Croatia squad for their World Cup qualifier against Scotland.
The 17-year old attacking midfielder is regarded as one of Europe's hottest prospects and he has caught the eye in his first full season, becoming the UEFA Champions League's second youngest ever player in the process.
Halilovic could have chosen to play for Bosnia like his father Sejad, but he could not hide his delight at being included in Croatia's plans.
"I'm over the moon; I'm happy and also very proud," he told Dinamo's official website.
"For me this is a great reward, now I will try even harder. There was a lot of talk about this topic, but for me there wasn't any doubt. And besides that, I played for all of the young selections of Croatia."
