Argentine defender looks set to remain at Inter

Nicolas Burdisso's agent admits his client looks set to miss out on the move to Roma he so desires. The Argentine enjoyed a productive loan spell with the capital giants last season and has made no secret of his desire to return to Stadio Olimpico this summer. However, his current employers Inter Milan are reluctant to do business and have blocked any potential move. Their actions have left Burdisso frustrated and his representative admits it is increasingly unlikely that an agreement will be reached before the start of the new season. "Three days ago I had a meeting with (Roma) president Rosella Sensi and sporting director (Daniele) Prade, who reiterated that they have done everything they can to bring Burdisso back," Fernando Hidalgo told Sky Italia. "Roma have made a great effort, but for Inter that is not enough and they want more. "I don't know if it will be possible to re-open talks, or whether Roma will now look for a different defender. "If no move to Roma materialises Burdisso will remain at Inter, we have given our word. "Juventus? I have spoken with (sporting director, Giuseppe) Marotta, but it was nothing serious. It was just a phone call and then I have heard nothing."

Changes

Hidalgo is also the agent of Burdisso's brother Guillermo, who is also being tracked by Roma. Again no deal has been reached as yet, but it appears far more likely that he will be joining the Giallorossi in the next few days. "There is no official move as yet because Rosario Central have requested minor changes to the deal," added Hidalgo. "Rosario have confirmed that everything will be wrapped up on Monday and have already allowed the player to start training with Roma."
