Alessandro Gamberini wants a positive attitude from Fiorentina ahead of their Uefa Cup semi-final clash with Rangers. The defender knows the Italians' cup dream almost died the last time they played on British soil. The Viola were confident a 2-0 advantage from the home leg of their last-16 clash with Everton would be enough to see them comfortably progress but instead scraped through in a tense penalty shoot-out at Goodison. "We need to have the right attitude," he said. "It's very important that we are still in the tie after this match. I'm sure Rangers will try to play a physical game. "We have to show determination, more determination than we showed against Everton in Liverpool, but we also need to maintain our style of football.

Objectives

"We were trying to achieve two objectives this season - either (qualification for) the Champions League or the Uefa Cup final. "The fact that we still have a chance for both of these targets signifies that we have had a very good season. "I don't know the Scottish players and I don't really know much about Scottish football but I'm sure it's going to be a difficult game."
