Walter Mazzarri has pledged his future to Napoli after revealing he plans to see out the remainder of his contract at the San Paolo stadium.

The former Sampdoria coach, who has been in charge of Napoli since 2009, has been a reported target of several top clubs in Italy and Europe in recent months.

But Mazzarri is not interested in moving and has set his sights on winning Serie A with Napoli, who will meet Chelsea in the knockout stages of this season's UEFA Champions League.

"I have a contract until June 2013 and I intend to respect it," Mazzarri said in Corriere dello Sport.

"The right ingredients are here to win the Scudetto, but within a reasonable time."

Mazzarri led Napoli to a sixth-placed finish in his first year in charge and last season guided them to a hugely impressive third place and qualification to the Champions League.

Bright future

"For the past two years, we have been among the best in the league," Mazzarri said. "That is the reward for maturing as a team. However, AC Milan, Juventus, Inter Milan are used to fighting for titles and we are not.

"We need time to grow, something this club has been doing in recent years."

Mazzarri, nevertheless, believes his team can continue to succeed this season.

Napoli, who are sixth in Serie A, qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League at the expense of Manchester City.

"We have done very well so far," Mazzarri said. "We await our (tie) with Chelsea, while in the domestic competition we are in a good position.

"We have a bright future ahead."
