Nigel Reo-Coker's agent says the Aston Villa midfielder would consider it an honour to join Napoli.
The 27-year-old Villa enforcer's contract will expire this summer and it looks likely the former England Under 21 captain will leave Villa Park.
News of his impending availability is reportedly also generating interest amongst some of Europe's other leading teams such as Galatasaray, Juventus and Roma.
But the team that Diego Maradona made famous look to have stolen a march on the other suitors as the race for the Sierra-Leone born midfielder intensifies.
Tony Finnigan, who represents the player, expects the interest in the potential Bosman signing to grow as his contract expiration date draws closer.
"The lad's contract will expire on June 30, so we can already start talking to clubs who are interested in signing him," Finnigan told Radio CRC in Italy.
"Should an offer come from Napoli then he would certainly be honoured. Napoli are attracting a lot of interest in Europe with their performances this season.
"Reo-Coker has been contacted by big clubs like Inter, Milan and Fiorentina, but we'll try to get some answers from Napoli in the next few days too."
