Midfielder eager to keep playing until operation is necessary

Torino midfielder Blerim Dzemaili admits he will eventually require a knee operation to solve a nagging injury. Dzemaili is on a season-long loan at Torino from Bolton Wanderers, but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Italian club. He is hoping to be involved in Wednesday's Serie A game with Chievo Verona, but is aware surgery is on the agenda. The 22-year-old is suffering from a meniscus problem and is keen to play on until an operation is completely necessary. "It's a little meniscus problem and I'll certainly have to have surgery, but not now," the Switzerland international told the media in his homeland. Dzemaili joined Bolton in July 2007, but injury restricted him to a solitary substitute's appearance in the FA Cup during his time at the Reebok Stadium.
