Serie A champions Juventus have denied entering into negotiations for Fiorentina's in-demand forward Stevan Jovetic.
The Montenegro international has been generating a steady stream of transfer gossip for some time now, with clubs across Europe reported to be chasing his signature - including the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal.
Fiorentina have conceded that a summer sale is likely, but have yet to strike a deal with any interested party.
Juventus were rumoured to have moved to the front of the queue after opening talks with Jovetic's representative.
The club have, however, moved quickly to rubbish the rumours - claiming that they are currently exploring other options.
General manager Giuseppe Marotta said: "Jovetic is a very good player but we have not moved for him.
"We have not contacted anyone at Fiorentina and I am convinced that relations with the club and the Viola are good.
"We have begun to sound out some options, but it is not yet the right time to make any announcements.
"Our goal is to complete the squad for the July training camp and we are still following a few different players."
