Whole host of top clubs watching Parma striker

Parma striker Sebastian Giovinco could be a summer target for Barcelona, according to the player's agent. The Itay international, who is part-owned by Juventus, has been linked with a move away from the Serie A outfit and the European Champions are understood to be keeping close tabs on the in-form forward. Now Giovinco's agent Claudio Pasqualin has confirmed that the Catalans are just one of a number of top clubs in Europe interested in the 25-year-old, who has scored 10 goals in 28 games this season. "I'm not surprised by the interest of Barcelona for Giovinco," admitted Pasqualin."It means he is doing well. "All I can say is that it's still too early to be talking about the summer transfer window and I won't rule out the fact that Giovinco could stay in Parma. "What is certain is that Giovinco is completely focused on helping Roberto Donadoni's side because he wants to do well and is a serious professional."

Situation

Meanwhile, the player's representative, Andrea D'Amico told Sky Sports Italia: "First of all, we need to resolve the ownership situation between Juventus and Parma. "However, Barcelona are following him closely which is a great pleasure because I think Sebastian deserves a big move." But Parma chief executive Pietro Leonardi harbours hopes of keeping his prized asset, saying: "We would like Giovinco to stay here, but he might even go to Juventus. We will have to wait until the end of the season and see what happens."
