Cagliari boss Roberto Donadoni has sought to distance Alessandro Matri from mounting exit rumours.
It has been claimed that Juventus are preparing a late raid for the striker as the winter transfer window draws to a close.
Donadoni would not welcome any offer, though, as he is determined to keep the 26-year-old on his books.
He is confident he will succeed in those efforts, with Cagliari under no pressure to cash in on their prized assets.
Difference
"Matri? I don't think we have any need to sell him," Donadoni said after the seeing the striker net twice in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Bari.
"We are not totally dependant on Matri because we are capable of producing good football without him.
"But clearly he is a player who can make a difference.
"I am pleased that other clubs are looking at him, but he feels good here. At the end of the season we will see where we stand."
