Alessandro Del Piero is determined to win his place back in the Italy squad.
The forward was omitted from the side for the recent qualifier with Georgia, as coach Roberto Donadoni opted to look at other attacking options.
The Juventus star was disappointed to have been left out, but has no plans to call time on his international career.
"The national team is still an open chapter for me," Del Piero told Sky Italia.
Del Piero hit a career milestone on Saturday, as he netted his 200th career goal in the 1-0 win over Frosinone, but he is not looking to rest on his laurels.
"These goals certainly mean a lot," he said. "But, as I always say, they represent only a part of my career.
"For the future, I wish for me and Juve to continue united and winning as we did today," Del Piero cleared.
