Gianluigi Buffon has expressed his disappointment at Juventus' 3-2 loss to Werder Bremen in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash.

Bremen stunned the Italian giants with two goals inside the last three minutes, giving them the edge going into the return leg in Turin.

Buffon, who produced several superb saves to keep the Bundesliga outfit at bay early on, has slammed his team-mates for switching off when they thought the game was theirs.

"We must surely pay more attention in certain situations," he sighed. "We had practically won, and could have at least drawn with a little more concentration.

"In Bremen I made two really good saves," he added. "The paradox is that in my best match for some time I conceded three goals."

Buffon also admitted that Juve are close to wrapping up the Serie A title, with his side currently 10 points clear at the top and only 12 games remaining.

"The league is almost safe, we just need to make sure. We have an important advantage and with a little more concentration than we showed against Bremen we should do it."
