Morecambe have confirmed that the club has agreed two-year deals with four players.

Midfielder Jamie Devitt, a free agent after being released by Chesterfield, and defender Ryan Edwards, who recently departed Blackburn, have both returned to the club following successful loan spells while Shaun Beeley has signed an extended deal after impressing since his January arrival. Youngster Aaron McGowan has also penned a deal in a busy day for the Shrimps. Boss Jim Bentley told the club's official website: "Beeley, Devitt and Edwards did really well for us last season and I am really pleased that they have agreed to sign. "They chose us ahead of other clubs and I think that says a lot about Morecambe as a club because they could have gone elsewhere but really enjoyed their time here and bought into what we are trying to achieve. "I have always seen Shaun as one of the best right-backs around at our level and Jamie proved last year that he can provide that something extra when you need it in tight games. "Ryan is a defender with a great pedigree and bags of potential who I think has a great future ahead of him. Aaron has been in the youth set-up for a couple of seasons now and impressed us all." He added: "It's been an excellent couple of days for us and the squad is shaping up nicely. There are a few more gaps to fill in the squad but talks are ongoing with a few players."
