Bentley looking to the positives

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley said his in-form side will take the positives from their battling 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon.

The Shrimps extended their unbeaten run to nine games but were far from their best against a well organised Wimbledon side. They took the lead thanks to a stunning strike from Kevin Ellison but Michael Smith hit back with a close-range header leaving Bentley to reflect on the point. Bentley said: "The most pleasing thing is that despite not being at our best we didn't lose and have gone nine games without a defeat which is something we are all really proud of. "We looked leggy at times and a bit flat but I have seen us lose games like that in the past and ended up with nothing because we have chased it and got caught on the break. "Sometimes you also have to give the opposition credit. Wimbledon put in a great away performance and once they got the goal back after we took an early lead it was always going to be difficult to get a second. "They had a good shape and made it difficult for us to play through them or around them and I think in the end both sides were happy with the point."
