Chesterfield have signed rookie Blackburn defender Ryan Edwards on a month's loan.
The 19-year-old centre-half has agreed a deal with the Spireites until Saturday, August 24. Assistant-manager Leam Richardson told Chesterfield's website: "Ryan has bags of potential and we think he's going to develop into a brilliant player. "We're looking forward to seeing him in a Chesterfield shirt." Edwards signed in time to feature in Tuesday night's friendly against Wolves.
