Sky Sports understands a number of English clubs are tracking former Greenock Morton midfielder Kyle Wilkie.
The 22-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving Greenock Morton earlier this month.
Morton were keen to keep hold of Wilkie, but were unable to offer him a new deal due to budget cuts at the club.
The news has alerted several clubs in England to his availability with the likes of League Two duo Morecambe and Rochdale weighing up moves for the former Stockport County man.
Wilkie came through the youth ranks at Hamilton Academical alongside Wigan duo James McCarthy and James McArthur, but has seen injuries blight his progress.
