Morecambe goalkeeper Barry Roche admits their weekend League Two draw at Oxford was a bitter pill to swallow.
In-form forward Kevin Ellison put the Shrimps ahead with 12 minutes remaining, only for Harry Worley to find a late leveller for the U's. Although Roche did not claim his team-mates deserved to take three points, to lose them with two minutes remaining left a bitter taste. "It was certainly a big kick in the teeth," Roche said. "Don't get me wrong, we didn't play particularly well and maybe didn't do enough to win the game. "But having got ourselves in such a good position, to let it slip in the last minute we really, really shouldn't have let that happen and we let ourselves down."
