Bentley hails hero Redshaw

Morecambe manager Jim Bentley hailed Jack Redshaw after the striker fired both goals in a 2-1 win over former club Rochdale at Spotland.

Redshaw scored either side of the break to fire the Shrimps into a two-goal lead and although George Donnelly pulled one back for the home side, Morecambe held on for a deserved victory. And Bentley is urging his side to build on their recent run of form and push themselves up the League Two table. "Jack was a threat all day, he got into some fantastic positions and got his two goals, so we're really pleased with how he and Lewis Alessandra teamed up," said the Morecambe boss. "Every team and every line-up has its strengths and weaknesses and we'd done our homework on Rochdale and felt they could cause them problems, which they did. "To win 2-1 at Rochdale is a fantastic result for us, and that's seven points from three games for us and it's onwards and upwards."
