Barry Roche insists Morecambe's struggles at the Globe Arena are a mystery to him.
Jim Bentley's men secured a first home triumph of the year when they beat goalkeeper Roche's former employers Chesterfield 2-0 in midweek.
They now chase back-to-back home wins for the first time since February against Burton this weekend at a venue that has been far from a happy stomping ground since 2010's move from Christie Park.
"I've absolutely no idea," the Irish stopper told Press Association Sport when asked about the Shrimps' home discomforts. "We've spoken about it probably more in recent weeks than we have before - it wasn't something that the players necessarily talked an awful lot about.
"But obviously this season it's gone on and I think it really, really got to everyone after throwing away the two-goal lead against Plymouth with 15 minutes to go a couple of weeks back.
"So we've spoken about it but there's nothing we've done differently at home than away from home. We prepare for every single game the exact same way and we can't really put a finger on what happens to us there."
