Boss Jim Bentley insists Morecambe will not appeal Kevin Ellison's dismissal against Cheltenham.
The Shrimps went down 2-0 on Friday night and their misery was compounded further by Ellison's red card for an off-the-ball incident with Steve Elliott.
Bentley believes the punishment was not deserved but, due to a lack of evidence, he says his hands are tied.
"Everyone who I have spoken to who saw the incident says it didn't deserve a red card and in normal circumstances I would look to appeal it," Bentley told the Lancaster Guardian.
"But the ball had gone down the other end of the field and the camera followed it.
"Unlike the Premiership we do not have the luxury of loads of cameras to cover every angle and I have watched what footage there is and you can't see anything that would have backed our case."
