Morecambe boss Jim Bentley is confident of finding a suitable replacement for departing midfielder Craig Stanley.
Stanley has agreed to join Bristol Rovers after impressing new Pirates boss Paul Buckle when he was at his last club Torquay on loan last season.
Bentley said: "I have always admired Craig and, like Will Haining and Laurence Wilson, I made it known that I wanted to keep him and that he would have been a big part of my plans.
"But he has chosen to go elsewhere and I wish him well.
"I have identified other players who can play in that role and been in touch with a couple so we will move on and look to make sure we bring in someone who will become a good addition to the squad."
