Morecambe have bolstered their squad after midfielder Stewart Drummond rejoined the club in a £15,000 move from Shrewsbury. The 32-year-old former crowd favourite has returned to Christie Park on a two-and-a-half year deal. He will go straight into Sammy McIlroy's squad for the trip to League Two rivals Macclesfield on Saturday. McIlroy said: "Stewart is a player I know well and respect. He is a very experienced player at League Two level and will be a great addition to the squad. "He is a box-to-box player and is a presence in both penalty areas. "We are looking to have a blend of experience and youth as we seek to establish ourselves in the league and I am delighted to have signed him."
