Evergreen striker Jamie Cureton will embark on his 22nd professional season after signing a new contract at Dagenham.

The 39-year-old hit 20 goals for the Daggers this term and was named the League Two club's player of the year. He told the club website: "It feels good, I've been in discussions, I was always happy to stay and sign - I had a really good season here. It's nice to get something done just as the season is finishing so I can enjoy my summer. "To get 20 goals and play the amount of games I have has been very good. Maybe as a team we could've done a bit better, but in general it hasn't been too bad. "We've kept away from the bottom and in the end finished quite comfortably mid-table. With a bit more luck and a few better performances we could've done even better. "To play the games I have and to score the goals I have, it would seem silly, and why would I not want to do that next year? So it was quite an easy decision."
