Burnett hails Norris

Dagenham boss Wayne Burnett saluted loan ace Luke Norris as the in-form striker scored again in the 1-1 draw with Southend.

The 20-year-old struck a late equaliser in Saturday's thrilling 3-3 draw against Scunthorpe and repeated the feat to deny another side chasing promotion. Burnett said: "Fair play to Luke. He's a classy young player with a real eye for goal. "You can see he's learned well at Brentford. He's a level-headed young lad and he's got a bright future in the game. "He stuck his goal away really well, and I guess I'm just glad that we've been able to get him here in the first place. "I felt we deserved a point again just as we had done on Saturday against Scunthorpe. We came up against another top side and we've gone toe-to-toe with them. "Credit to the groundsmen for getting the game on in the first place, but I think the fans that turned out will have enjoyed it. "I know these players will always give it everything, whatever the conditions, so credit to them all."
