Hackett salutes revived Scott

Dagenham coach Warren Hackett has hailed Josh Scott's impact as his second-half goal earned the hosts a point in a 1-1 draw Burton.

Lee Bell gave the visitors a 34th-minute lead with his fourth goal of the season and first for five games. But man-of-the-match Scott, back at Victoria Road after a loan spell at Ebbsfleet, equalised in the 51st minute with his second goal in as many games to secure a point. "It wasn't the one player who made the difference, but all credit to Josh because he took his goal really well," praised Hackett. "The situation with Josh is that he went out on loan - and maybe it was the kick up the backside he needed. "He's come back, got the bit between his teeth and wants to prove a point to everybody that he is a good player. "Josh is a good player. He got a goal on Tuesday, it lifted his confidence and he's got another goal. Onwards and upwards for Josh." Hackett added: "It was most definitely a game of two halves. It was a disappointing first half from ourselves because we didn't create many chances. "And Burton, in all fairness, are the form team at the moment and they really did put us on our back foot. "We went in at half-time, we regrouped and said to the players that we've got to match Burton's work-rate. "I certainly think we did that. We played more on the front foot, our midfield two pressed on and our strikers held up better. I thought we got a just reward with a great goal from Josh."
