Daggers bring back Strevens

Dagenham have secured the signing of striker Ben Strevens until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old returns to the club for the second time after previously helping the club to promotion from the Football Conference in 2007. After spells at Barnet and Crawley, the striker scored 40 goals in 123 games for the Daggers before moving to Brentford in 2009. He left Griffin Park for Wycombe in 2011 and joined Gillingham in the summer. Dagenham boss John Still was delighted with being reunited with the striker once again. He said: "We wanted to get someone in with a touch more experience, and since Dwight left us we have been short of creativity. "Having played with me at Barnet and here at Dagenham, I know his capabilities and he is the ideal player at this particular moment to come in. Strevens added: "I just want to play really. "I've been with a team who have been top of the table in Gillingham but once I knew what the gaffer wanted to do here, I just wanted to come, get games and hopefully help the club push up the table."
