Orient preparations take off

Image: Slade: Trialled three players

Leyton Orient emerged 5-3 victors in their first pre-season friendly of the summer against a stubborn Sutton United.

Russell Slade's side went ahead three times through Kevin Lisbie, Ryan Brunt and Dean Cox but each time the non-leaguers equalised. Afolabi Obafemi restored the Os lead in the second half and the youngster completed the scoring from the penalty spot. Slade chose to field a different side for each half and handed five of his new signings debuts from the start. Slade also took the chance to run the rule over three trialists, with George Saunders, Joe Turner and former QPR midfielder Martin Rowlands handed the chance to impress.
