Daggers lodge Ilesanmi appeal

Dagenham have appealed against the red card issued to defender Oluwafemi Ilesanmi in the midweek draw with Leyton Orient.

The left-back was dismissed in the last minute for bringing down Orient substitute Paul-Jose M'Poku for a penalty which Scott McGleish converted to deny the Daggers victory. Boss John Still said after the game that he had no complaints but after viewing video evidence has now lodged the appeal. He said: "I got home and watched the DVD numerous times and I didn't think there was any contact from Femi. "I took the DVD into the club and six individuals have all watched it, some independent from the club, and said he didn't touch him and, therefore, we've decided to appeal. "If the appeal panel see what we all see, it won't get us the points back we've lost but at least we'll have Femi available for Saturday."
