Mame Biran Diouf: Has impressed since his move to Germany
Hannover chairman Martin Kind has reacted angrily to suggestions Mame Biram Diouf could replace in-demand Robert Lewandowski at Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga champions will have a battle on their hands to keep hold of the Polish international in the summer, and Diouf, who has impressed since his arrival in Germany from Manchester United, has been earmarked as a potential suitor to fill Lewandowski's boots.
However, those rumours have not gone down well with Hannover chairman Kind, and he is adamant his side will be keeping hold of the 25-year-old.
"One thing really is for sure. We are planning our own future, we are not planning the future of Borussia Dortmund," he told Sport-BILD weekly.
"Mame Biram Diouf is under contract at our club, he is a great striker and an important player. We do not have any interest in selling him."
The former Blackburn loanee Diouf has netted eight goals in 16 matches in the Bundesliga this season after failing to make the grade in England.
